Lower 48 media reports say the crewman lost off a fishing vessel Friday near Sand Point was Joe Haller, of Greenville, Pa.
Here's a western Pennsylvania newspaper story, and here's a TV report out of neighboring Youngstown, Ohio.
The crewman was 19 years old, the reports say.
Contrary to the TV report, the F/V Glacier Spirit was fishing for cod, not crab.
The U.S. Coast Guard has not officially released the victim's name.

Update on man overboard
The U.S. Coast Guard says it suspended the search at 4:42 p.m. for a crewman lost off the fishing vessel Glacier Spirit near Sand Point.
Coast Guard aircraft spent about six hours searching more than 40 square miles without any sightings of the missing crewman.
The Coast Guard said it received a call at 10:26 a.m. from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game requesting assistance in searching for the crewman.
"My thought and prayers are with the victim's family and friends," said Capt. Daniel Travers, 17th Coast Guard District chief of incident management. "Suspending a search without finding the person you're looking for is one of the hardest decisions for the Coast Guard to make."
The Coast Guard hasn't yet released the victim's name.
State records list the owner of the 47-foot Glacier Spirit as Richard Eastlick of Sand Point.

The U.S. Coast Guard, at 8 p.m. Sunday, suspended its long-range air search for a crewman reported missing from a Korean-flagged container ship.

The U.S. Coast Guard on Saturday searched for a crewman reported missing off a container ship some 900 miles southeast of Kodiak Island.
The Coast Guard was notified about 4:30 p.m. that a 49-year-old South Korean crewman on the Mol Explorer was discovered missing about 2:30 p.m. The man was last seen about 22 hours earlier at dinner.
A Coast Guard C-130 aircraft was launched out of Kodiak to search for the crewman.
The Mol Explorer was bound for Tokyo from Oakland, Calif.

On 7/4/11 at about 0915 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Bethel were notified that Gilbert Kilbuck, 37, of Platinum, was missing from a boating accident. Kilbuck was reported to have headed out commercial fishing on a 24-foot skiff just off of South Spit in Platinum. Kilbuck's boat was reported to have struck a wave where he was thrown from the boat. Alaska State Troopers launched an aircraft to help with the search, which also involved assets from the U.S. Coast Guard. Local village residents today are searching the area via boat. Alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor. Kilbuck was reported to have not been wearing a life jacket at the time.

The Coast Guard has not identified the man, other than saying he is Japanese and 55 years old, not 50 as initially reported.

Search on for man overboard 110 miles west of Togiak
JUNEAU — The Coast Guard is searching for a man reported overboard today from the 226-foot commercial fishing vessel Alaska Victory 110 miles west of Togiak.
The Coast Guard in Kodiak received notification at 6:45 a.m. by VHF radio from a crewmember aboard the Alaska Victory reporting a 50-year-old Japanese man fell overboard at 6:30 a.m. with no survival gear or life jacket on.
Crews aboard an HC-130 Hercules aircraft and a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Kodiak are searching for the fisherman.
The Hercules aircrew arrived on scene at 7:40 a.m. and the Jayhawk rescue helicopter aircrew are expected to arrive on scene at 10:30 a.m.
There are also four fishing vessels in the area searching for the overboard fisherman.
Conditions in the search area include seas of 6 to 8 feet, wind speed of 20 mph and an air temperature of 42 degrees.
